đĄ When He Cut the Light & A Light Came On

Just finished sweeping up what felt like an entire pack of cracker crumbs out of Titus & Pharaohâs roomâfor the second time this week đ© (donât even ask why)âwhile Sire and Priest were having a full-blown screaming contest. It took me forever to get them settled.
Somewhere between the crumbs, the cries, and the chaos, irritation started creeping in. My mind went straight to: âMy husbandâs out enjoying life at the casino, and Iâm in here doing this by myself.â đ€
But then another thought came⊠maybe thatâs for the best. At least one of us isnât losing our mind tonight. And in that one small, selfless moment, peace washed over me. đż
So I kept going. Kept working to calm everyone down.
Finallyâfinallyâthey were all settled. đźâđš And thatâs when I realized⊠CRAP! The lights are still on! đĄ These kids will never fall asleep like this.
Then it hit meâmy husband has that app on his phone that controls the lights. And in that tiny moment, joy flooded my soul. đ Because I remembered⊠I wasnât really alone. Weâre still a team. đ
And if all he can do tonight is cut the lights from his phoneâthen Iâm immensely grateful. đ
Sometimes marriage isnât about whoâs doing what. Itâs about remembering youâre still on the same side, even in the middle of the mess. đ
