The Breaking
Last week, we had an encounter with God like no other: The Jesus Perspective Shift: Self-Care Reset.
He shifted our awareness from the natural to the eternal and reminded us to set our minds on things above.
The reset didn’t wear off. It revealed what we must continue to submit to God.
And I know some of you may feel like you can’t relate to my voice because I’m married, I have children, or my life looks different from yours.
But we don’t have to live the same life for me to have basic empathy for you. We can all be different and still look just like Christ.
I’m not speaking to you from a life without pressure. I’m in an era of waiting and still believing. I must be at the brink of breakthrough because I’m at my breaking point. I must be standing at the edge of overflow because I am extremely overwhelmed.
These words are not coming from a child who is hoping for the best. They are coming from someone who has chosen to worship in the fire when I could be consumed by the flames.
I made this choice because there was a time when I was consumed with grief, trauma, and stress like you. And when God gave me everything I thought I needed, I still wasn’t satisfied.
We learned in prayer that unless we are truly satisfied with ourselves, we will never be satisfied. Unless God is enough, nothing will be.
That means when we stop reaching for what’s outside because God lives inside, we finally break the cycle.
Healing doesn’t have to feel good. Faith doesn’t need to see. Obedience doesn’t need to understand. Complaining doesn’t produce fruit.
Contentment must become a lifestyle.
If you constantly need a reset, it may not be a reset—it may be another cycle. But thank God
The Breaker is here!
So submit.
Submit to a quiet and peaceful life.
Submit to gratitude.
Submit to staying ready.
Submit to God’s will instead of your own.
You don’t have to figure out your next move. Get still. Stand in victory. Stay ready to see God face to face.
God called us Determined during our last reset.
Now, we’re going to discover what happens when God meets us at determination.
I refuse to settle for anything less—and I expect nothing less from you.
