Just Bee šŸ

"Okay Lord,"

I’m sitting outside with my husband, phone in hand, about to type out a prayer. And just as I do, a bee flies right up in my face. I nearly fall out of my chair trying to get away. This bee insists on being in my face. Thankfully, my husband swats it away.

I pause.

Laugh.

Then ask God, ā€œWhat does that mean?ā€

And just like that, I hear it:

ā€œJust be.ā€

The funny thing? The last person who told me that was my grandma.

Now, I know some people might think I’m crazy for taking a bee encounter so seriously, like God’s trying to speak to me through insects. But I don’t wonder what it’s like to be them. I don’t need to. I like how I hear Him.

Because in that moment, that bee said more than most people say all week.

It reminded me: I don’t have todoto be in God's presence. I don’t have to prove anything. I don’t have to compare myself. I can just… be.

And yet, here I am praying when I could be straying.

So yeah—I'm winning.

Not in a boastful way. Not better than anyone. Just… better than the worst things I’ve done.

Back to the prayer.

We were talking about 40 days in the wilderness.

You said something that stuck:

ā€œJesus wasn’t preaching out there. He wasn’t teaching. He was learning something humanly impossible—holiness.ā€

That hit deep.

That tiny bee reminded me of something big—how even Jesus had a season of silence. A time not to speak, but to be.

Stop asking what to do next. God just wants you to be šŸ with Him.

If you have been wondering, what you have to do to be holy, God doesn’t want you to do anything. He wants you to become someone. There’s no way you can walk with God and not become like Him.

"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

— 2 Timothy 3:5 (KJV)

Holiness isn’t about performance. It’s about power.

Not the kind of power that draws attention, but the kind that sustains obedience when no one’s watching.

The power of God in you—to live not for love, but from love.

"He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

— 1 John 4:8 (KJV)

God’s love? It’s not an excuse. ā€œI’m messed up, but God still loves meā€ā€¦ It's empowerment to live free from sin.

God’s love is the source of this holy life.

God doesn’t want you to do anything. Stop asking what to do next. He just wants you to be šŸ with Him.

So yeah, maybe God did send that bee.

To interrupt.

To remind.

To approve.

Did it sting me?

Lol—nope.

That says I’m good. šŸ

But let me humble myself

ā€˜Cuz I don’t want to get stung. I may not be all that and a bag of chips, but I am all that God says I am.
