A Prayer For Wisdom

All-Wise God,

We come before You today in awe of Your wisdom and majesty, acknowledging that You are the source of all understanding. We worship and magnify You, recognizing that our lives are completely dependent on Your infinite knowledge and guidance. We receive You fully into our hearts, minds, and spirits.

We reject every lie, every false wisdom, and every path of foolishness and sin. We renounce anything that does not align with Your perfect truth. Expose every form of deception that seeks to pull us away from Your will. Illuminate the darkness around us so that we may walk boldly in Your light and reflect that light to the world.

Father, we understand that true wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. Teach us to seek Your wisdom above all else. We confess that on our own, we are lost, but with You, we find direction. Help us to lean not on our own understanding, but to trust in Your ways with all our hearts. Let Your Word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

We recognize that wisdom is not just about knowing but about obeying. And in our obedience, we will find true freedom. So, we ask for Your wisdom in every area of our lives—every decision, every step, and every interaction. We know that without You, we can do nothing, but with You, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

God, we pray for a heart that is quick to listen and slow to speak. We pray for discernment in every choice we face, for wisdom to surround us, and for understanding that only You can provide. We ask for the courage to wait on You, to not rush ahead in our own plans, but to trust in Your perfect timing.

We thank You for the wise counsel You place in our lives. We know that You don’t call us to walk alone. You surround us with godly people who help confirm Your will, who encourage us, and who walk with us in obedience. We ask that You help us to value and listen to the wise counsel You provide through them, as they walk alongside us on this journey of faith.

Lord, we know You are not just here to help us do what You’ve called us to do, but You are also here to help us avoid what You’ve told us not to do. Give us wisdom to turn away from temptation, from destructive paths, and from anything that would pull us away from Your best for our lives.

We don’t want to be merely thinkers, Lord. We want to be praying witnesses—people who ask for wisdom, wait for Your direction, and walk in obedience to what You say. Help us to be faithful stewards of the wisdom You give us. Let every decision we make be grounded in Your truth, every thought we think be aligned with Your Word, and every action we take be led by Your Spirit.

And so we ask, O God, that You would fill us with Your wisdom in abundance. Let it overflow in our lives, impacting everyone we encounter. Teach us to be wise not just for our own sake, but so that we may be a testimony to the world of Your greatness, Your goodness, and Your love.

We trust You, God, for every step ahead. We believe that You will use everything from yesterday to prepare us for today and lead us into tomorrow. We trust in Your perfect plans and divine timing. Thank You for walking with us every day, guiding us, and teaching us.

In the name of Jesus, our Savior, our Wisdom, and our Lord,

Father we put this in Your Hands and it is so.

Amen.
